Dolomites
Our region in the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site
The Rosengarten-Latemar region lies in the Schlern-Rosengarten nature reserve in the heart of the Dolomites. Our village of Eggen is an ideal base, since it is situated between the two mountains. Only a quarter of an hour from Bolzano, at 1100 m above sea level, all destinations can be reached from the hotel. In addition to the hiking paths, there are some tasty and to a certain extent challenging trails hidden in the forest. The trips to the passes in particular can therefore, depending on the route, be rather strenuous.

One might say that our region, in terms of its natural beauty, is something of a diva, and as is the case with divas, it is not all that easy to conquer, since the routes tend, thanks to the terrain, to be on the challenging side and are not necessarily suited to absolute beginners.
Not only do the routes go into the region of King Laurin and his Rosengarten and the Latemar opposite, with its many myth-shrouded places, but they also go into the nearby Fassatal Valley with the famous Marmolada mountain, the king of the Dolomites, or into the Fleimstal Valley with the rugged Lagorai mountains or towards the lowlands to the Blätterbach Gorge in South Tyrol's canyon. Crossing regional and linguistic borders in the process helps to fire riders up for any steep ascents that the may encounter!
