Four specialised, family-run hotels invite you to share experiences in the Dolomites of South Tyrol which, according to the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner, are the most beautiful mountains in the world.

How it all began...

Siegfried Auer was drafted into the army as a 17-year old, spending ten hard years as a soldier and a Russian prisoner of war. In 1949 Siegfried returned and moved to the small Moseralm. He lived alone there and worked as a lumberjack in the Karer Forest. In the summer of 1951, Filomena, a jaunty young girl from the Ulten Valley, came to help with the haymaking, and just one year later Filomena and Siegfried were married.

The Moseralm

Since their wedding Filomena and Siegfried would welcome guests to the Moseralm. Their little hut was constantly expanded and improved, with ever more guests coming to stay and relax there. Their seven children also helped out in the hotel; Erika, Carola, Monika and Markus continued to grow the business, ultimately resulting in the establishment of four hotels – the Alpenrose, Marica, Moseralm and Oberlehenhof.

True to tradition

Now it is the turn of the third generation to continue this family tradition and pass on their love for the Dolomites. Back in the early days, Siegfried and Filomena too would see that their guests enjoyed very special shared experiences and encounters.

Experience the Dolomites at first hand

Enjoying hiking, bike tours, ski excursions and mountain adventures together is also a major attraction of the Dolomiti hotels. The host families too are mountain enthusiasts and aim to take their guests to the finest locations of the surrounding area.

Reviews

HF

"We stayed in a very large room, with very spacious bathroom and separate toilet. The owners are very welcoming and helpful in giving tips for our snowshoe hiking (the area is great for winter and snowshoe hiking). The breakfast was excellent and the dinners were delicious, every course was of a very high quality. We have stayed in many Vitalpina hotels (all very good) but this one stands out for service, hospitality, atmosphere and delicious food!"
