Golfing high-up in Val d'Ega
Golf courses at a height of over 1,200 in Monte San Pietro and around the Karer lake
These unusual golfing greens are just round the corner: in Val d'Ega golfers will enjoy their sport at a height above sea level of over 1,200 metres on two of the finest and most well-established golf courses in the whole of South Tyrol. The Petersberg golf club is a fascinating, 18-hole golf course with a great club house, and is located on an alpine plateau surrounded by mountains and woodlands. The Carezza golf course by the Karer lake, on the other hand, is a fine 9-hole golf course at a height of 1,580 metres, offering superb views over the Catinaccio and the Croda Rossa mountains. Empress Sissi and Winston Churchill have both been known to swing their golf clubs here!
Both golf courses fit harmoniously into the mountain paradise of the Dolomites and offer the chance to enjoy nature and sports in one unique experience. Beginners, leisure golfers and tournament players alike are welcome to tee off on these demanding, tricky golfing greens from mid-April to mid-November.
